From London ad agencies to South Africa's most experienced B2B marketing network.
Tim Wright's career in advertising began in the competitive world of London's agency circuit. Working with some of the UK's most demanding B2B brands, he developed a deep understanding of what it takes to turn complex business propositions into clear, compelling communications.
After relocating to South Africa, Tim took on the challenge of building a B2B healthcare advertising agency from the ground up. Over the course of two decades, he grew it into the largest B2B healthcare advertising agency in the country, working with multinational pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and healthcare innovators.
Along the way, he assembled a network of exceptional senior specialists across strategy, creative, media, digital, events, and PR. These are the people who now form The Ideas Factory.
In B2B marketing, the difference between success and obscurity is rarely about budget. It is about ideas. The right idea, expressed clearly and placed precisely, can transform a business.
We believe every B2B brand has a story worth telling. Our job is to find that story, shape it, and deliver it to the people who need to hear it. Not with gimmicks or awards-bait creative, but with strategic thinking and craftsmanship that delivers measurable results.
Traditional agencies employ large teams with a pyramid structure. At the top, the experienced people who win the business. At the bottom, the junior people who do the work. You pay for the seniors. You get the juniors.
We do things differently. Every member of our network has earned their stripes through 15+ years of hands-on experience. There are no layers to pass through, no account executives translating briefs, no junior designers learning on your budget.
When you brief The Ideas Factory, the person you brief is the person who does the work. Senior strategists develop your strategy. Senior creatives create your campaigns. Senior media people plan and buy your media.
We call them Silverbacks because they have the experience, the confidence, and the authority to deliver exceptional work without supervision. They do not need managing. They need a worthy brief.
